What is structured wiring?

Structured wiring brings individual cable runs to planned distribution points. This creates an organized infrastructure for connected devices and makes future changes and troubleshooting more manageable. We plan routes and connection points around your project.

  • Data and network cabling
  • Audio, video and security wiring
  • New-build and renovation planning
  • Organized terminations and equipment locations
A CLOSER LOOK

An organized foundation for every connected system.

01

Plan the connections before the finish work

Structured wiring organizes connections for data, audio, video, security and automation. Dedicated runs return to planned distribution locations, making it easier to connect equipment and understand where each cable goes. New construction and renovation are ideal times to plan these routes.

02

Match cabling to the application

Computers, wireless access points, cameras, access controllers and AV equipment have different connection needs. Cable selection, run lengths, routing and termination all influence performance. Rack space, power, ventilation and service access should be considered wherever equipment is grouped.

03

Keep it clear and maintainable

Organized patch panels, labels and cable management make changes and fault finding more straightforward. Cable verification and performance testing answer different questions, so the required testing scope should be agreed during planning. We install and service cabling for homes, offices and Ontario gaming venues.

COMMON QUESTIONS

Before you get started.

Why wire a building if we use Wi-Fi?

Wireless access points still need a network connection, and many fixed devices benefit from cabling. A strong wired foundation supports reliable wireless coverage.

What is the difference between continuity and certification testing?

Basic checks confirm connections and identify some wiring faults. Certification assesses performance against a cabling standard. The required level depends on the installation and should be included in the project scope.
